Home Run Derby

Wisconsin Heights Youth Softball is hosting a Home Run Derby on Friday, May 15, 2026 in Lion's Park. This is a fundraiser for our organization.
The concession stand will be open, offering pizza slices, beer, and hard seltzer.
Registration
Registration for the Home Run Derby can be done in advance at using the button below. This is simply a reservation, and the $5 registration fee is to be paid on site from 5-6 pm. Registration closes during the event.
Batting starts at 6 pm.
Bats and balls will be provided. Players may use their own bats.
Age Groups
There will be separate men’s and women’s divisions broken down in the following age groups:
- Tball and under (Birthdate of 9/1/2019 and earlier)
- Hits off tee from 20 feet.
- U8 (Birthdate of 9/1/2017 to 8/31/2019)
- Hits off tee or pitcher from 35 feet. Bring your own pitcher or one will be provided.
- U10 (Birthdate of 9/1/2015 to 8/31/2017)
- Hits from second base via pitcher. Bring your own pitcher or one will be provided.
- U12 (Birthdate of 9/1/2013 to 8/31/2015)
- Hits from pitcher’s mound via pitcher. Bring your own pitcher or one will be provided.
- U14 (Birthdate of 9/1/2011 to 8/31/2013)
- Hits from home plate via pitching machine.
- All high school
- Hits from home plate via pitching machine.
- Post high school adults
- Hits from home plate via pitching machine.
Prizes
A champion will be named in each age group, one for men and one for women. Each Home Run Derby champion will earn a trophy!
Rules
A softball pitching machine will be used. Pitches will be slow pitch softball.
• Each batter will have 10 swings.
• Batters do not have to swing at every pitch.
• A missed swing, foul ball, or tip is counted as a swing.
• A home run will have to go over the home run fence in the air located in the outfield.
• The individual with the most home runs in their age/gender group wins. If no home runs are hit, winner will be determined by the furthest hit ball
• Ties will lead to a sudden death round. Each batter will receive 5 swings during this sudden death round.
Note: Time permitting, participants can attempt again for an additional $5 entry fee.
